Delta Max President @ Digital Hollywood 1999
Los Angeles, California
March, 1999 -- "Virtual Reality Business Models are emerging right now", said Robert Swanson, President of DELTA MAX at the annual Digital Convergence with Hollywood Content conference at this key industry event. "But, technology is still immature from a film professional's POV (Point of View)"
"VR has great potential for games and rides", Swanson continued. "But, the very nature of Real Time scene computation continues to make the complexity of the image different for VR and for cgi post production. Since the public is demanding evermore realistic graphics special effects, the content creation industry is responding faster than the computer industry can improve the chip cycle times. Thus, the content creation folks are limited to rides and games at present and likely for the next decade."
Many Hollywood film and video professionals heard Swanson describe the newest real time methodologies at a leading content trade show, Digital Hollywood, fast becoming a major new forum for the convergence of content and computers.
Robert Swanson is President of DELTA MAX, and the originator of the term "E-Channel", which describes the newest electronic interfaces of corporations to customers and prospects over the web.
