    DELTA MAX was engaged to perform a Business Needs Requirement Analysis for one of the world's leading specialty gift companies. This company has a sales force and marketing philosophy of a close 1-to-1 relationship between the young married adult, mostly female sales force and the owners of specialty gift shops and offices throughout the United States. The cost of sales and competitive activity indicated that some form of E-Commerce might be an excellent adjunct to their sales force, as long as it maintained as paramount the existing channel relationships with the owners.

    An E-Commerce Site Which would Assist and Promote Existing Customer Relationships

 

    DELTA MAX analyzed this company's operations and relationships in detail, even to the point of riding along with a sales person to see how the actual selling process worked. Once the existing process was documented, DELTA MAX worked with all members of the client executive staff to develop a Channel Friendly E-Commerce capability which would not only not compete with the existing sales force, it would assist the sales force operations and promote additional sales through the reps in place now.

    The "Solution" created and documented in a Business Needs Requirement Analysis was not primarily technical, in this case, but mostly operational, motivational, and inclusive of such items as sales force morale and compensation plans.
